Lifting & Moving Injured People

This will be a hands-on workshop on how to assist and move someone who is injured including building an improvised stretcher, and hypowrap system to assist in managing shock in a significantly injured individual. The workshop will allow for active participation and opportunity to observe for those that don't feel comfortable lifting.
Ken Piercey of Hard and Fast CPR has an extensive background as a Registered Nurse working in Remote locations throughout Canada including outposts, Flight Medicine, Emergency, and Camp settings. Ken is extensively involved in First Aid, CPR, First Responder, and Nursing education and brings this knowledge and experience forward in all of training programs and selecting the right gear and equipment for our clients.
Ken is also offering a Remote First Aid (formally called Wilderness First Air) certification on July 7th-8th at the Preppers Meet location. Participants are welcome to camp all week. To get more information visit our Remote First Aid Page
